GWM will launch a new mid-size SUV, the 2027 Haval H7, with a starting price below $50,000, according to CarExpert. The vehicle takes a boxy exterior design approach and is positioned in the mid-size SUV segment.
CarExpert reports the H7 will offer a plug-in hybrid powertrain alongside all-wheel drive, a combination the outlet says is new for the Haval line. The report did not detail battery capacity, electric-only range, or fuel consumption figures for the model.
The H7's arrival comes as GWM expands its electrified range in Australia. Separate reports from Carsales and The Canberra Times note the brand has confirmed a hybrid ute, while drive.com.au and WhichCar report on the 2027 GWM Cannon PHEV, described as Australia's cheapest plug-in hybrid ute, with WhichCar citing 115km of electric range and 3500kg towing capacity. Those figures apply to the Cannon, not the Haval H7.
